💡 The essentials
The three Iso Whey Zero flavours French customers name most often are Chocolate, Vanilla and Pistachio, all of them averaging close to 4.9/5 in the reviews that mention them.
- The cleanest label: Chocolate, no colouring, 21 g of protein per 25 g serving.
- The odd one out: Dark Chocolate uses a different formula (18 g of protein, different sweeteners).
- To taste before you commit: the brand sells 25 g sachets in almost every flavour, at around €4 (recorded in October 2026).
With 16 flavours in the French catalogue, not counting the Caffé Latte sold separately and the limited editions, Iso Whey Zero is one of the whey isolates with the widest choice of flavours. BioTechUSA sells it across Europe (the reviews on its shop come in French, Hungarian, Spanish, German and more), which also explains its extraordinary review count: 4.9/5 from nearly 39,000 reviews displayed on its official shop.
The catch is that an overall score like that separates nothing. To find the best flavour you have to look at which ones customers actually name, and at what changes in the recipe from one flavour to the next: colourings, sweeteners, and even the protein content in one case. If this type of protein is new to you, start with our explainer on whey isolate.
🔬 Our method
We tasted none of these flavours: we analysed the published reviews and the official labels. In October 2026 we recorded, from the French BioTechUSA shop, the flavours, their availability, the prices, the ingredients and the nutrition table for every one of them. We then went through the 10,000 most recent reviews shown on the listing, of which roughly 2,500 were written in French about the standard Iso Whey Zero (May 2022 to October 2026), and counted how many name each flavour and with what score.
🥛 The Iso Whey Zero flavours available in France

On the official BioTechUSA France shop (in French), Iso Whey Zero sells for around €70 for the 908 g tub and €105 for the 1,816 g tub (recorded in October 2026), at the same price whichever flavour you pick. Here are the 16 flavours offered in the 908 g tub:
- Chocolate: Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, White Chocolate (out of stock when we checked)
- Dessert: Cookies & Cream, Black Biscuit, Tiramisu (out of stock), Lemon Cheesecake, Salted Caramel, Catalan Caramel Cream
- Nuts: Hazelnut, Pistachio
- Classics and fruit: Vanilla, Strawberry, Banana, Pineapple Mango, Coconut
Which flavours are out of stock depends on the tub size: in the 1,816 g format it was Pistachio, Hazelnut and White Chocolate that were missing when we checked. The limited editions (Churros, Dubai Chocolate Style) and the Caffé Latte have their own listing, as does the Natural version, which was completely unavailable when we looked.
🏆 The best Iso Whey Zero flavours according to customer reviews
Almost every flavour named in the French reviews scores between 4.7 and 5/5, so the score alone settles nothing: what makes the difference is how many customers talk about it. The chart below shows the five flavours named most often in the roughly 2,500 French-language reviews we went through.

1. Chocolate: the most named, and the plainest label
Chocolate turns up in around 170 French-language reviews, averaging 4.9/5, miles ahead of every other flavour. On the label it carries no colouring at all, it is sweetened with sucralose only, and it brings 21 g of protein per serving. One customer even rates it above the Dark Chocolate.
2. Vanilla: the versatile base
Vanilla comes next with around 125 mentions and an almost identical average. Several customers describe it as “light”, which is an asset when you are blending it with fruit or stirring it into porridge. It does not escape criticism, as one reviewer calls it “horrible” and goes back to the chocolate. Its recipe contains tartrazine, a yellow colouring.
3. Pistachio: the sweet tooth’s favourite
Pistachio is the third most named flavour (around 80 reviews), with 4.9/5 and a single rating below 4 stars. The comments call it a “nice surprise” and “incredible” tasting. Two drawbacks: it was out of stock in the 1,816 g size when we checked, and its green colour comes from two colourings, tartrazine and indigotine.
Then: Cookies & Cream, Hazelnut, Strawberry and the rest
Cookies & Cream (around 55 mentions, 4.9/5) and Hazelnut (around 45, 4.8/5) round out the top of the table. Strawberry, Banana, White Chocolate and Pineapple Mango each get named thirty to forty times. Salted Caramel has the lowest average of the frequently named flavours (4.6/5), and one customer finds the White Chocolate “a bit too sweet”. Catalan Caramel Cream has only two French-language reviews, both enthusiastic but far too few to draw a conclusion from.
🔎 What the label changes from one flavour to the next
Every flavour detailed on the listing brings 21 g of protein per 25 g serving and is sweetened with sucralose, except the Dark Chocolate. Its recipe contains 72% isolate instead of 85% to 90%, plus chocolate chips and different sweeteners (acesulfame K and cyclamates). The upshot: 18 g of protein per serving. The Catalan Caramel Cream, for its part, adds steviol glycosides alongside the sucralose.
| Flavour | Protein / 25 g | Sweeteners | Colourings |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chocolate, Hazelnut, Tiramisu, White Chocolate, Black Biscuit, Coconut | 21 g | sucralose | none |
| Vanilla, Banana | 21 g | sucralose | tartrazine |
| Pistachio | 21 g | sucralose | tartrazine, indigotine |
| Strawberry | 21 g | sucralose | Allura Red AC |
| Pineapple Mango | 21 g | sucralose | tartrazine, Allura Red AC |
| Lemon Cheesecake | 21 g | sucralose | carotenes |
| Salted Caramel | 21 g | sucralose | ammonia caramel |
| Catalan Caramel Cream | 21 g | sucralose, stevia | caramels, carotenes |
| Dark Chocolate | 18 g | acesulfame K, cyclamates | none |
⚠️ Watch out
The flavours that contain tartrazine or Allura Red AC carry the warning “may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children”. Every recipe also contains a “creamy blend” built on partially hydrogenated coconut fat, glucose syrup and sugar, in small amounts (1 to 2 g of sugars per 100 g). And the factory handles eggs, peanuts, nuts, celery, fish and crustaceans: if you have an allergy, ask your doctor for advice.
📊 The Iso Whey Zero flavours scored out of five stars
The stars summarise our own records, not a tasting. “Customer reviews” combines the number of mentions with the average score in the French-language reviews, and “Label” rewards the absence of colouring and a standard formula.

🎯 Our verdict: which Iso Whey Zero flavour should you choose?
For a first tub, we would go for the Chocolate: it is the most popular flavour by a distance, it has the simplest label in the range and it is in stock in every size. If you like to rotate flavours, add a Pistachio or a Cookies & Cream, and start with the 25 g sachets rather than a full tub for the less frequently named ones.
Iso Whey Zero is not for everyone. It will not suit you if you want a minimalist label: expect flavourings, a creamy blend and, depending on the flavour, colourings. Nor is it the cheapest option, at around €77 per kilo in the 908 g tub (recorded in October 2026). On lactose, it is “lactose-reduced”, not lactose-free. To compare it with plainer isolates, see our round-up of the best whey isolates, which features the Nutripure whey we recommend:
✅ How to try several BioTechUSA flavours without overspending
- Pick 3 to 5 flavours close to what you already like: dessert, chocolate or fruity, the range covers every profile.
- Order them as 25 g sachets: around €4 a serving on the official shop, in every flavour except the Dark Chocolate when we checked.
- Taste them under the same conditions: same liquid, same amount, same shaker, otherwise you will be comparing the mix rather than the flavour.
- Move to the big tub for the winner: the 1,816 g tub works out at around €58 per kilo, far less than the 908 g.
