💡 The essentials

The best Myprotein whey flavour is Chocolate Smooth: it comes top of the survey the brand ran among its own customers, and it is also one of the richest in protein (22 g per serving).

  • Chocolate podium: Chocolate Smooth, Natural Chocolate, then Chocolate Brownie.
  • Beyond chocolate: Vanilla, the easiest one to cook with.
  • Cookies and Cream: it has left the standard range, and now only exists in the + Collagen version.

More than 40 flavours for a single powder: with Impact Whey Protein, Myprotein has turned picking a flavour into a puzzle, all the more so because the same product page mixes the standard version, a + Collagen version and a Milkshake version, each with its own flavours and its own recipe. The good news: the brand has published a ranking of its favourite flavours, drawn from a survey of its customers.

We cross-checked that ranking against what is actually on sale in France in October 2026 and against the label of every flavour, because a “Natural” or a “Milkshake” does not necessarily contain what its name suggests. For a broader view of the brand, see our page on Myprotein.

🔬 Our method

We tasted none of these flavours: this ranking rests on published data. The starting point is the top 10 Impact Whey flavours Myprotein published in March 2025, taken from a survey of its customers. In October 2026 we set that against the French Impact Whey Protein product page: the flavours and sizes actually available, the prices, the customer rating, and the label (protein per serving, share of whey, sweetener) of nine flavours.

Impact Whey Protein product page on Myprotein's French site

On fr.myprotein.com, the standard Impact Whey Protein runs to 26 flavours in October 2026, plus 7 + Collagen flavours and 8 Milkshake flavours. The page shows 4.49/5 from 5,215 reviews, a rating shared across every flavour.

  • Chocolate: Chocolate Smooth, Natural Chocolate, Chocolate Brownie, Chocolate Caramel, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Chocolate Coconut, Chocolate Orange, Chocolate Banana, Mint Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, Cocoa (naturally sourced sweeteners)
  • Vanilla and bakery: Vanilla, Natural Vanilla, Vanilla Honey (naturally sourced sweeteners), Vanilla Honeycomb and Vanilla Honey with biscuit pieces, Golden Syrup
  • Fruit: Strawberry Cream, Natural Strawberry, Banana, Natural Banana, Blueberry, Acai
  • Drinks and plain: Mocha Coffee, Matcha Latte, Unflavoured
  • + Collagen version: Cafe Latte, Chocolate, Cookies and Cream, Salted Caramel, Strawberry Cream, Unflavoured, Vanilla
  • Milkshake version: Banana, Chocolate, Chocolate Fudge, Cookie Crumble, Salted Caramel, Unflavoured, Vanilla Ice Cream, White Chocolate Swirl

🏆 The best Myprotein whey flavours, one by one

In the top 10 Myprotein published, the first three places all go to chocolate: Chocolate Smooth, Natural Chocolate and Chocolate Brownie, listed on the French store as Chocolat Onctueux, Chocolat Naturel and Chocolat Brownie. Then come Cookies & Cream, Vanilla, Salted Caramel, Chocolate, White Chocolate, Natural Vanilla and Cinnamon Danish. That survey was published on the brand’s international site, not run specifically among French customers: treat it as an indication, not a universal truth.

1. Chocolate Smooth: the customers’ favourite

First in the survey, Chocolate Smooth is also the highest-protein chocolate in the range: 22 g per 30 g serving (73 g per 100 g), with 96% whey, fat-reduced cocoa, a flavouring and sucralose. It exists in every size, from 450 g to 3.6 kg, the sign of a flavour that sells by the pallet.

2. Natural Chocolate: a natural flavouring, but not sucralose-free

Second in the ranking, it stands out for 8% fat-reduced cocoa and a natural flavouring, but it contains sucralose too: “Natural” describes the flavouring, not the sweetener. The extra cocoa pushes the share of whey down (90%) and with it the protein, to 21 g per serving. It is sold from 450 g to 3.6 kg, with no 1.8 kg option.

3. Chocolate Brownie: the most indulgent on the podium

Third in the survey, Chocolate Brownie has the lowest protein content of the three: 69 g per 100 g, which is 21 g per serving, with 89% whey. It is still available in every size up to 3.6 kg. Pick it if you want a dessert taste rather than a milk chocolate.

Vanilla: the best non-chocolate flavour

Fifth in the survey, Vanilla is the first non-chocolate flavour and the most versatile in the kitchen: 22 g of protein per serving, 96% whey, a flavouring and sucralose. Among the recent reviews published on the French product page, several customers say they use it in pancakes or cakes. To put it to work, dip into our whey protein pancakes.

And what about Cookies and Cream?

Fourth in the survey, it no longer exists in the standard Impact Whey in France. Two options remain, each with a trade-off. The Cookies and Cream (+ Collagen) version contains 53% whey and 38% collagen peptides: more than a third of the powder is therefore not whey. The Cookie Crumble (Milkshake) version adds skimmed milk powder and chocolate biscuit pieces, with 20 g of protein and 3 g of sugars per serving, against 1.5 g for the standard Vanilla.

⚠️ Watch out

Every Impact Whey label we read contains soy lecithin, flagged as an allergen by Myprotein alongside milk. If you are allergic to soy, this whey is not for you whatever the flavour; if you are in any doubt, ask your doctor or your allergist.

Podium of the three best Myprotein whey flavours, all chocolate

On price, every standard flavour costs the same: around €39 for 900 g on promotion (list price €59.99), which is roughly €43 per kilo, and around €24 for 450 g (checked in October 2026). The Milkshake and + Collagen versions are slightly cheaper per bag, but they contain less whey.

🎯 Our verdict: which Myprotein flavour should you choose?

If you could only take one, take Chocolate Smooth in the 450 g bag: it is the customers’ choice, it delivers the most protein of any chocolate, and the small size keeps the risk down. Keen home bakers should go for Vanilla instead.

Impact Whey is not for you if you want to avoid sucralose (in that case take Cocoa or Vanilla Honey, sweetened with stevia and monk fruit, or the Unflavoured), if you digest lactose badly (an isolate will sit more comfortably, see whey isolate and whey concentrate) or if you are allergic to soy.

Myprotein has the widest flavour catalogue we know of, but variety is not everything: on protein quality, a native isolate beats a concentrate. That is why Nutripure’s Whey Isolate Native comes out ahead in our ranking of the best whey proteins.

✅ How to find YOUR best flavour at Myprotein

  1. Choose the version first: standard for the most whey, Milkshake for a more dessert-like taste, + Collagen only if the collagen genuinely interests you.
  2. Watch for the word “Natural”: it signals a natural flavouring, not the absence of sucralose. Only Cocoa and Vanilla Honey are sweetened another way.
  3. Start with the 15-serving bag (405 to 450 g depending on the flavour): 15 of the 26 standard flavours come in that size, at around €24. The 250 g size now only exists in Unflavoured.
  4. Read the label of the flavour, not of the range: from one flavour to the next, the share of whey swings from 89% to 98% in the standard range. Our guide to whey protein composition will help you decode it.

⚖️ Does Myprotein have the best whey flavours?

Myprotein wins on variety, not necessarily on the rating: 4.49/5 on its French product page, against 4.62/5 shown by Prozis for its 100% Real Whey. If you are weighing up the two, compare with the best Prozis whey flavours.

Other brands deserve a look too: Prozis, Decathlon, Nutrimuscle and Optimum Nutrition, all of them picked apart in our ranking of the best whey protein brands.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Which Myprotein flavour is the most popular?

Chocolate Smooth, first in the survey Myprotein published in 2025. It finishes ahead of Natural Chocolate and Chocolate Brownie, which puts chocolate across the whole podium.

What do the reviews say about Myprotein Impact Whey?

They are good on the whole: 4.49/5 from 5,215 reviews on the brand’s French site. More than 3,100 reviews give it 5 stars, and 79 give it just one.

Which Myprotein whey flavour contains no sucralose?

Cocoa and Vanilla Honey, sweetened with stevia and monk fruit, and the Unflavoured. Be careful, the “Natural” flavours (Natural Chocolate, Natural Strawberry) do contain sucralose.

What does unflavoured Myprotein whey taste like?

The milky taste of whey, with no flavouring and no sweetener: the powder is 100% whey concentrate and brings 23 g of protein per serving, the best figure in the range. It is not much fun on its own with water, but it is ideal for cooking or blended with fruit, as in our whey protein recipes.
