💡 The essentials

At Bulk, the two flavours to buy without a second thought are Chocolate and Vanilla: the brand itself presents them as the two best sellers of its Pure Whey Protein.

  • Too sweet for you? Go for the “Less Sweet” version of Chocolate or Vanilla.
  • Sucralose-free: Natural Pure Whey, sweetened with stevia, in Chocolate or Vanilla.
  • Speculoos is no longer in the catalogue as of October 2026.

Bulk plays the choice card: 24 flavour variants for its Pure Whey Protein, from classic milk chocolate to cinnamon cereal milk, plus versions enriched with collagen. Faced with a list that long, the risk is not running short of flavour, it is ordering a kilo of something you will be sick of after three shakes.

We have not tasted these flavours, and Bulk does not publish a score per flavour. Our ranking therefore rests on what the brand itself displays (best sellers, less sweet versions) and on the labels, not on an in-house tasting.

🥛 What flavours does Bulk whey come in?

Here are the flavours of Pure Whey Protein, Bulk’s flagship whey, as listed on the brand’s site in October 2026 (the range moves around regularly, so check the product page before you order):

  • Chocolates: Chocolate, Chocolate Less Sweet, Chocolate Caramel, Chocolate Coconut, Chocolate Cookies, Chocolate Mint, Chocolate Orange, Chocolate Peanut, White Chocolate.
  • Vanillas and indulgent flavours: Vanilla, Vanilla Less Sweet, Salted Caramel, Cinnamon Cereal Milk, Iced Latte.
  • Fruity: Strawberry, Raspberry, Banana, Berries & Cream, Lemon & Coconut.
  • No flavouring: Unflavoured.
  • With collagen: Unflavoured, Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry + Collagen (14 g of collagen per serving according to Bulk).

Every flavour is sold at the same price: the one-kilo pouch was listed at €35.99 on offer (€41.99 at full price) when we checked in October 2026, on Bulk’s euro store, which ships from within the EU. Your choice of flavour therefore has no impact at all on the budget.

🔬 Our method

We compared Bulk’s official product pages (October 2026) for Pure Whey Protein, Natural Pure Whey, Pure Whey Isolate and Pure Whey Protein+: available flavours, the best sellers the brand names itself, ingredients and sweetener, nutritional values and aggregated customer scores. Bulk does not display a score per flavour, so not a single figure in this ranking is an invented taste score.

One thing before we get into the flavours: if Bulk’s sucralose recipe puts you off, our reference whey on this site is Nutripure.

🏆 The best Bulk whey flavours

1. Chocolate: the brand’s best seller

Product page for Bulk Pure Whey Protein in Chocolate

Bulk names Chocolate as one of the two best sellers of its Pure Whey Protein, and it is the most widely available flavour in the whole range: you will find it in Pure Whey Protein, in the Less Sweet version, in Natural Pure Whey with stevia, in Pure Whey Isolate, in Pure Whey Protein+ and even in hydrolysed isolate. If it is not to your taste, nothing else at Bulk will do better.

Its other strength is practical: a chocolate drinks just as well with water as with milk, and it slips into porridge or a bowl of oats with no effort at all.

2. Vanilla: the most versatile

Product page for Bulk Pure Whey Protein in Vanilla

Vanilla is the other best seller Bulk names, and it is the best base for cooking: pancakes, crepes, yoghurt or a fruit smoothie. Like Chocolate, it comes in a Less Sweet version, in Natural Pure Whey with stevia and with collagen.

If you plan to use your whey in the kitchen, help yourself to ideas from our whey protein recipes: most of them are made with a vanilla.

3. Chocolate or Vanilla Less Sweet: for anyone who finds Bulk too sugary

Product page for Bulk Pure Whey Protein Chocolate Less Sweet

Bulk created these two versions for people who like the texture of Pure Whey but want a less sweet flavour. Which is another way of saying that the standard recipe, sweetened with sucralose, owns its sugary taste.

If you want to go further still, Natural Pure Whey swaps the sucralose for stevia, in Chocolate or Vanilla, with 4.5 g of sugars per 100 g. It costs more: around €46 a kilo (checked in October 2026).

4. Salted Caramel: the indulgent one Bulk pushes

Product page for Bulk Pure Whey Protein in Salted Caramel

In its whey FAQ, Bulk names Salted Caramel as the flavour to try after Chocolate and Vanilla. It is also available in Pure Whey Isolate and in Pure Whey Protein+. There is no less sweet version of it, however.

That same FAQ also mentions Pineapple & Coconut and Birthday Cake, two flavours missing from the Pure Whey Protein list in October 2026: do not trust old recommendations without checking the catalogue first.

5. Unflavoured: for cooking without any flavouring

Product page for Bulk Pure Whey Protein Unflavoured

The Unflavoured version is not made to be drunk with water, but it is the most adaptable in the kitchen: you can add it to a soup, a sauce or a pancake batter without changing the taste. It runs through almost the whole range, including the collagen versions and the hydrolysed isolate.

For an everyday shake, stick to a flavoured version and keep the Unflavoured for your recipes.

📊 Bulk whey flavour ranking: the summary

The stars reflect verifiable facts rather than a tasting: best-seller status as stated by Bulk, the number of ranges the flavour appears in, how easy it is to cook with and whether a less sweet option exists.

ℹ️ Good to know

Pure Whey Protein is sweetened with sucralose, Natural Pure Whey with stevia. Both are high-intensity sweeteners authorised in Europe after assessment by EFSA, as ANSES points out, and the same agency adds that no benefit of these sweeteners on weight control has been demonstrated. Choosing between the two is therefore mostly a matter of taste.

🎯 How should you pick your flavour at Bulk?

With 24 variants, the right method is to rule flavours out before you choose one. Three steps are enough:

  1. Settle on the use: a shake with water (Chocolate), a shake with milk (Chocolate Cookies, Salted Caramel), cooking (Vanilla or Unflavoured).
  2. Dial in the sweetness: if you do not like very sweet drinks, go straight to the Less Sweet versions or to Natural Pure Whey.
  3. Test small: Pure Whey Protein comes in a 500 g format, at around €22 (checked in October 2026). Two small bags of different flavours beat one 5 kg sack of a flavour you have never tried.

On the protein side, the flavour makes little difference: Bulk states 22 to 24 g of protein per serving for Pure Whey Protein. For more protein and less lactose, it is the range you need to change, not the flavour: compare concentrate and isolate in our guide to whey isolate or whey protein.

⚖️ Our verdict: does Bulk have the best whey flavours?

On choice, Bulk is hard to beat, and its customers seem to agree: Pure Whey Protein shows 4.8/5 across more than 21,000 reviews on the brand’s site. That score mixes every flavour together, and it measures overall satisfaction more than the quality of the taste.

It is not the brand for you if you avoid sucralose or want a minimal ingredient list: the standard recipe contains flavourings, an emulsifier, a thickener and sucralose. Our full review of Bulk whey goes through the formula, the price and the service. For another brand that is very much built around taste, see the best Myprotein whey flavour too.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Which Bulk whey flavour sells the most?

Chocolate and Vanilla, according to Bulk. The brand presents them as the two must-have best sellers of its Pure Whey Protein. They are also the flavours offered across the largest number of ranges.

Does Bulk still do the speculoos flavour?

No, it no longer appears as of October 2026, neither in Pure Whey Protein nor in Pure Whey Isolate. For a similar indulgent taste, look at Chocolate Cookies or Cinnamon Cereal Milk.

Is Bulk whey too sweet?

It is designed to taste sweet, thanks to sucralose. That is exactly why Bulk offers Less Sweet versions in Chocolate and Vanilla, plus a Natural Pure Whey with stevia for anyone who wants to avoid sucralose.

Does the price change with the flavour?

No, every Pure Whey Protein flavour costs the same for a given format. Only the range changes the price: Natural Pure Whey and the isolate cost more per kilo.
