💡 The essentials

In Paris, the densest network of whey protein shops is Toutelanutrition, with three stores (9th, 13th and 15th arrondissements), backed up by FitnessBoutique in the 11th and several independents in the 1st and the 17th.

  • On Mondays, the Toutelanutrition shops are closed: aim for FitnessBoutique, Health Center or Body Coach Center.
  • On Sundays, only Body Coach Center (1st) and Xpert Nutrition (17th) advertise an afternoon opening.
  • For a brand sold online only, delivery to a pickup point remains the cheapest option.

Buying whey protein in Paris mostly comes down to which arrondissement you are in and which day of the week it is. The specialist shops are spread across both banks of the Seine, but their opening hours vary a great deal: some close on Mondays, others open on Sundays, and most shut for lunch.

This guide brings together the 8 Paris shops we confirmed were still trading in October 2026, with the nearest Metro station where the retailer gives one, then the Decathlon stores, the whey proteins worth having delivered and the shipping costs we noted at each seller.

Left Bank and the 9th: the three Toutelanutrition shops

Toutelanutrition is the only specialist chain present in the 9th, the 13th and the 15th at once, which makes it the simplest option south of the Seine. All three shops keep the same hours, with a break from 1pm to 2pm, and stay closed on Sundays and Mondays. Each store page puts in-shop advice ahead of self-service.

11th arrondissement: FitnessBoutique, Bastille side and Charonne side

Both FitnessBoutique stores in the 11th sell weight training kit and sports nutrition (whey, creatine, collagen, pre-workout). The boulevard Richard-Lenoir shop says on its page that it is happy to hand out samples and shares a shaker with customers: that is the address to head for if you want a taste before you buy. The boulevard de Charonne branch flags free parking right outside, handy if you are leaving with a big tub.

1st and 17th: the independents that stay open latest

Body Coach Center, Health Center and Xpert Nutrition open at 11am and close between 7pm and 8pm, hours that suit a stop on the way home from work. Health Center, on avenue des Ternes, also advertises 48 hour delivery anywhere in Paris on its site, free on orders over €50. Body Coach Center and Xpert Nutrition are the only two shops on this list open on a Sunday afternoon.

🛒 Decathlon in Paris: 7 stores with a protein aisle

Decathlon lists seven Paris stores that sell protein powder: La Madeleine (23 boulevard de la Madeleine, 75001), Saint-Germain (104 boulevard Saint-Germain, 75006), Wagram (26 avenue de Wagram, 75008), Rive Gauche (113 avenue de France, 75013), Aquaboulevard (4/6 rue Louis Armand, 75015), City Batignolles (147 bis rue Cardinet, 75017) and Rosa Parks (76 rue Cesaria Evora, 75019).

The choice is mostly limited to the own brand, but click and collect is free and advertised from 1 hour after you order on decathlon.fr. Before you cross Paris, check the stock of your flavour in your chosen store from the product page. To find out how good this whey actually is, read our Decathlon whey protein review.

🔬 Our method

We did not visit these shops. Every address was checked in October 2026 on the retailer’s own store page (Toutelanutrition, FitnessBoutique, Health Center, Xpert Nutrition, Decathlon) or, for Body Coach Center whose site was unreachable, on its up to date PagesJaunes listing. The Metro stations are the ones the retailers give. The shipping costs come from the official delivery pages, and the stars in the comparison are our reading of that information, not a measurement.

🏆 The whey proteins we recommend having delivered in Paris

Some brands are not sold in shops at all and can only be ordered online. Here are the four whey proteins from our ranking of the best whey protein that you can have delivered in Paris:

⚖️ Shop, Decathlon or online order: our comparison

Option in ParisPriceChoiceAdviceSpeed
Specialist shops (Toutelanutrition, FitnessBoutique, independents)★★★☆☆★★★★☆★★★★★★★★★★
Decathlon (7 stores)★★★★☆★★☆☆☆★★☆☆☆★★★★☆
Brand websites, to a pickup point★★★★★★★★★★★★☆☆☆★★★☆☆

In Paris, the shop wins on advice and on walking out with your tub, the brand website wins on price per kilo and on the number of products. Prices can differ from one channel to the next: always compare the price of the same tub in store and online before you pay.

💬 Our verdict: where to buy your whey in Paris, by profile

For a first whey protein, we suggest calling into a specialist shop: you get a taste, you can ask your questions and you leave with a small size. After that, once you have settled on your brand and your flavour, ordering to a pickup point usually works out cheaper than buying in store, especially during the sales.

A shop is not for you if you have your eye on a brand sold online only (Nutripure or Nutrimuscle, for instance) or if Sunday morning is your only chance to buy. Finally, if you are pregnant, allergic to milk protein or being treated for kidney disease, ask your doctor before adding whey protein to your diet.

✅ Three checks before you reach the till

  • The type of whey: concentrate or isolate, the difference is explained in what whey isolate actually is.
  • The price per kilo rather than the price of the tub, and the amount of protein per serving.
  • The taste: a flavour you dislike ends up at the back of the cupboard, which is why samples and a decent whey protein shaker are worth having.

On quantity, the ISSN recommends a total intake of 1.4 to 2 g of protein per kg of body weight per day for people who train, food included: whey protein is only there to top that up. To go further, our guide on how to choose your whey protein covers the other criteria.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Which whey protein shops are open on a Sunday in Paris?

Body Coach Center (70 rue Saint-Honoré) and Xpert Nutrition (259 boulevard Pereire) advertise Sunday opening from 2pm to 7pm. The other shops in this guide are closed that day. Call before you set off, as bank holiday hours can change.

Can you taste a whey protein before buying it in Paris?

Yes, FitnessBoutique Bastille states on its page that it hands out samples and lets customers taste its new proteins. It is also worth asking in a specialist shop whether single-serving sachets exist, as they save you buying a 2 kg tub blind.

Do the Toutelanutrition shops in Paris open on Mondays?

No, the three Paris Toutelanutrition shops open Tuesday to Saturday, from 11am to 1pm and then from 2pm to 7pm. On a Monday, turn to FitnessBoutique, Health Center, Body Coach Center or Xpert Nutrition.

How much does whey protein delivery cost in Paris?

It is often free to a pickup point above €50 to €60 spent depending on the seller, and Decathlon click and collect is free. For other cities and other retailers, see our guide on where to buy whey protein.
