💡 The essentials

AM Nutrition is a French brand that takes its labels seriously: its unflavoured PURE Whey Isolate contains a single ingredient (whey isolate) and shows 91 g of protein per 100 g. Its weak point is not the product but the service: the negative Trustpilot reviews mostly talk about late deliveries and a customer service that is hard to reach.

  • Best whey in the range: the unflavoured PURE Whey Isolate, around €61 per kilo (checked in October 2026).
  • Customer reviews: TrustScore of 4.3/5 on Trustpilot (479 reviews), 4.8/5 on the isolate’s product page (2,143 reviews).
  • Promo code: PURE20 (20% off the whole site) shown on 3 October 2026, free delivery from €49.

You have seen AM Nutrition’s PURE range on Instagram or at a reseller, and you want to know whether it lives up to its promises? We read the brand’s four whey product pages line by line, recorded the prices per kilo and counted the published customer reviews.

The verdict is more nuanced than a simple “it’s good”: an unflavoured isolate that is among the purest on the market, but an “Essential” whey that is not really a whey, and logistics that draw criticism. The brand is French and ships from France.

🔬 Our method

We compared the official product pages of the four whey proteins sold on amnutrition.fr on 3 October 2026: ingredient list per flavour, protein per 100 g as sold, sweeteners, price and price per kilo, displayed ratings. We added the Trustpilot reviews, the official French company register and the brand’s “Notre histoire” (our story) and “Nos engagements” (our commitments) pages. No lab testing and no tasting were carried out.

🏭 Who is behind AM Nutrition?

AM Nutrition belongs to N4BRANDS, an SAS (French simplified joint-stock company) based in Voiron (Isère) and registered with the Grenoble trade and companies register, according to the site’s legal notice and the official company register. The brand says it has defended the same values “since 2004” and describes itself as “the only French nutrition brand to have remained 100% independent”, within the family-run company N4Brands.

On manufacturing, every whey product page carries the words “Fabriquée en France” (made in France), and the “Nos engagements” page states that most products are made in the French Alps, in the brand’s own factory. It also claims to publish the certificates of analysis for its ingredients.

The positioning is clear: short formulas, “with no acesulfame K, no aspartame, no preservatives”, at an affordable price. The flavoured versions are still sweetened with sucralose, while the unflavoured versions contain none.

🥛 Which whey proteins does AM Nutrition sell?

The PURE range includes four powders sold as whey: the isolate, the whey protein (concentrate), the Essential and the Clear Whey. All of them come in pouches, with 5% off when you buy three.

PURE Whey Isolate: the purest in the range

Product page of AM Nutrition's PURE Whey Isolate

In the unflavoured version, the label lists a single ingredient, “100% whey protein isolate”, for 91 g of protein per 100 g. The flavoured versions (chocolate, vanilla, raspberry) drop to between 80 and 86 g depending on the flavour and add flavourings, sunflower lecithin, gums, salt, sucralose and lactase (Tolerase L), an enzyme that helps you digest lactose.

Price checked in October 2026: €42.90 for a 700 g pouch, or €61.29 per kilo, and €122.20 for three pouches (around €58 per kilo). It is the brand’s best-rated whey: 4.8/5 from 2,143 reviews on its product page. The page mentions cow’s milk and “100% French” quality, without explicitly stating where the milk comes from.

PURE Whey Protéine: the whey concentrate

Product page of AM Nutrition's PURE Whey Protéine

This is a whey concentrate with 72 g (chocolate), 77 g (vanilla, strawberry) or 81 g (unflavoured) of protein per 100 g, sweetened with sucralose in the flavoured versions. It contains lactose, as the brand itself states in its FAQ. Price: €31.90 for 700 g (€45.57 per kilo) or €90.90 for three pouches.

Two details worth knowing: the product page points out that older packaging understated the carbohydrates, sugars and salt (the values on the site are given as the correct ones), and it specifies “protein content on a dry matter basis”. On 3 October 2026, only the chocolate flavour was in stock as a single pouch.

PURE Whey Essential: the cheapest, but based on milk protein

Product page of AM Nutrition's PURE Whey Essential

Its first ingredient is a “milk protein concentrate” (94.5% in vanilla), not whey like the brand’s other products. Yet milk contains about 80% casein and 20% whey, as AM Nutrition points out on its own isolate page: on paper, then, this is not a whey in the strict sense.

It provides 71 g (vanilla) or 67 g (chocolate) of protein per 100 g and 11 g of fat, with sucralose, gums and lecithin. It is the cheapest: €22.90 for 700 g, or €32.71 per kilo, rated 4.7/5 from 253 reviews. To understand the difference, read our guide to casein vs whey.

PURE Clear Whey: an isolate that drinks like a fruit drink

Product page of AM Nutrition's PURE Clear Whey

A 96% whey isolate, giving 86 g of protein per 100 g, in peach tea, grape blackcurrant or apple. The recipe adds flavourings, an anti-caking agent (silicon dioxide), sucralose and colourings (beta-carotene, beetroot red or chlorophyllin depending on the flavour). Expect to pay €34.90 for 500 g, or €69.80 per kilo, for a 4.7/5 rating from 481 reviews.

⭐ AM Nutrition reviews: what customers say

On Trustpilot, AM Nutrition has a TrustScore of 4.3/5 from 479 reviews: 348 five-star reviews (73%) but also 68 one-star reviews (14%), checked on 3 October 2026. On the brand’s own site, its whey proteins are rated between 4.7 and 4.8/5.

The positive reviews mainly praise the taste, the lump-free texture, the digestion and the French origin. The one-star reviews published between June and September 2026 almost all talk about the same thing: orders shipped late, parcels stuck with the carrier, slow refunds and a customer service that rarely replies. We saw no reply from the brand under these recent negative reviews.

🏷️ AM Nutrition promo code: the current offers

On 3 October 2026, the site displays the code PURE20: 20% off the whole site, with no end date shown on the banner. With this code, the isolate pouch drops from €42.90 to €34.32, or about €49 per kilo. We found no other public code on the official site.

The other permanent offers: free delivery from €49, 5% off when you take three pouches of the same whey, and bundles (Starter pack, Pack musculation) discounted by about 10%. Signing up to the newsletter promises new products and advice, with no discount announced.

⚖️ AM Nutrition or Nutripure?

This is the closest comparison we have made: on the label, AM Nutrition’s unflavoured PURE Whey Isolate does as well as, or even better than, Nutripure’s Whey Isolate Native. The difference comes down to the type of whey, the traceability of the milk and the price outside promotions.

Cost of 100 g of protein: AM Nutrition whey compared with Nutripure

Where AM Nutrition wins: more protein per gram of powder (91 g against 86.8 g) and an ingredient list reduced to a single product. With PURE20, the cost of the protein becomes identical to Nutripure’s. If you buy during a promotion and you tolerate dairy well, AM’s unflavoured isolate is a very good choice.

Where Nutripure wins: a native whey made from fresh French milk, a stated lactose content below 0.2%, and a lower price per kilo outside promotions. If you are sensitive to lactose or the origin of the milk matters to you, it is the better documented option. Our article on native whey vs whey isolate explains the difference in detail.

ℹ️ Good to know

Lactase helps you digest lactose, but it changes nothing for a milk protein allergy: in that case, no whey is suitable. AM Nutrition’s product pages also advise against their whey for pregnant or breastfeeding women, teenagers and children. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have kidney disease, ask your doctor for advice.

🏆 Our verdict on AM Nutrition

In our view, the unflavoured PURE Whey Isolate is one of the cleanest labels we have read: a single ingredient and 91 g of protein. Ideally, buy it with a promo code, when it comes back down to Nutripure’s price. The Clear Whey is a good option if you want a fruity drink, as long as you accept colourings and sucralose.

AM Nutrition is not for you if you need reliable, fast delivery, if you want a native whey from documented French milk, or if you buy the Essential thinking you are getting a whey: it is mainly a milk protein concentrate. Also avoid the flavoured versions if you steer clear of sucralose.

To compare with other French brands, read our Eric Favre whey review and our Protéalpes review, or our ranking of the best whey isolate.

If you prefer a native isolate made from French milk, with free delivery from €49.90, our pick remains Nutripure’s Whey Isolate Native:
