💡 The essentials

  • At Carrefour, the best value whey is Isostar Whey Protein: about $47.90 per kilo of protein, $20.02 for 570 g (read on carrefour.fr on 27 October 2026).
  • Carrefour Sensation, the store’s own brand, is the most expensive per kilo of protein (about $64.20): only 69 g of protein per 100 g, and 1.9 g of salt.
  • Eafit Pure Whey is a good middle ground: 76 g of protein per 100 g, about $50.10 per kilo of protein, but a long recipe (two sweeteners, an anti-caking agent).
  • For a pure whey, Nutripure Whey Isolate Native remains our first choice: 86.8 g of protein, no sweetener in the unflavoured version.

You shop at Carrefour and want to know which whey to pick from the sports nutrition aisle? We read the official product pages of the wheys sold on carrefour.fr: ingredients, protein per 100 g, price, and above all the price per kilo of protein, the only figure that lets you compare a small pouch with a big tub.

🔬 Our method

All the data comes from the product pages on carrefour.fr, read on 27 October 2026: ingredient list, nutrition facts, size and displayed price. Eafit’s values, missing from the Carrefour page, come from the brand and from our Eafit whey review. Carrefour bills in euros: dollar prices are converted at the European Central Bank rate of 26 October 2026 (1 € = $1.1188). The price per kilo of protein is our calculation. We do not taste the products or run lab tests: we compare labels.

ℹ️ Good to know

At Carrefour, the price depends on your store and on how you collect (drive or delivery): the prices on this page are those shown on carrefour.fr on 27 October 2026, before choosing a store. Carrefour Sensation whey also showed a 15% discount for Pass Carrefour members on Tuesdays.

🛒 Which wheys does Carrefour sell?

The “Sports et Protéines” aisle of carrefour.fr has three families of whey: the store’s own brand (Carrefour Sensation), mainstream sports brands sold in supermarkets (Isostar, Eafit, Punch Power) and a few specialist brands such as Optimum Nutrition. We detail the three whey powders whose product page publishes the label.

Carrefour Sensation Whey Protein vanilla 370 g

Product page of Carrefour Sensation vanilla whey on carrefour.fr

It is the smallest and least concentrated: 69 g of protein per 100 g, or about 25.5 g per 37 g serving, for $16.39 for 370 g ($44.29 per kilo). Its recipe blends whey concentrate (81%) and milk protein concentrate, with natural flavouring, salt, xanthan gum and two sweeteners: acesulfame K and steviol glycosides.

Two figures on the label are surprising: 8.8 g of fat and 1.9 g of salt per 100 g, which is a lot for a whey. At 10 servings per pouch, it is a trial size, not a month’s supply.

Isostar Whey Protein vanilla 570 g

Product page of Isostar vanilla Whey Protein on carrefour.fr

Isostar whey provides 22 g of protein per 30 g serving, or about 73.3 g per 100 g, with only 0.8 g of sugars per serving. It costs $20.02 for 570 g ($35.12 per kilo), which makes it the cheapest in the aisle per kilo of protein.

Its recipe has two sweeteners, aspartame and acesulfame K, sunflower and soy lecithins and calcium phosphates as an anti-caking agent. If you avoid aspartame or soy, skip it.

Eafit Pure Whey double chocolate 850 g

Eafit is the sports brand with the widest presence at Carrefour, with about ten products. Its Pure Whey costs $32.39 for 850 g ($38.11 per kilo) and provides 76 g of protein per 100 g according to the brand. It is a blend of whey concentrate (42.7%), isolate (36.2%) and hydrolysate (10%).

The recipe is long: fat-reduced cocoa, flavourings, nano E551 anti-caking agent, xanthan gum, L-glutamine, L-arginine, taurine, minerals, vitamins, digestive enzymes, maltodextrin, and two sweeteners (acesulfame K and sucralose). For a more concentrated option, Carrefour also sells Eafit Pure Isolate, at $41.28 for 750 g.

💶 The real price of Carrefour wheys per kilo of protein

Price per kilo of protein of the wheys sold at Carrefour compared with Nutripure Whey Isolate Native
WheyProtein / 100 gPrice recordedPrice per kilo of protein
Isostar Whey Protein vanilla73.3 g$20.02 for 570 gabout $47.90
Eafit Pure Whey double chocolate76 g$32.39 for 850 gabout $50.10

Nutripure Whey Isolate Native86.8 gfrom $50.23 (750 g) to $212.46 (4 kg)about $60 to $77

The Carrefour brand is not the cheapest, quite the opposite: at about $64.20 per kilo of protein, it sits inside Nutripure’s range, for a powder with much less protein. Isostar and Eafit are clearly cheaper, with busier recipes and sweeteners in exchange. Nutripure costs more than those two, but it is a native isolate with 86.8 g of protein, made from French milk in the unflavoured version, with sunflower lecithin as its only additive.

If you really want to buy in a supermarket, take Isostar or Eafit Pure Whey: they are the two best deals in the aisle per kilo of protein. If you want a purer whey and do not mind delivery, Nutripure wins on the label. To understand the difference between concentrate and isolate, read whey isolate vs whey concentrate.

🏁 Our verdict on Carrefour whey

Carrefour’s own-brand whey is the worst deal in the aisle: small, low in protein, salty, and expensive per kilo of protein. Isostar and Eafit Pure Whey are better in-store buys, if you accept their sweeteners. And if you take whey every day, Nutripure Whey Isolate Native remains our first choice for purity: compare with our guide on where to buy whey protein and our ranking of the best whey protein.

⚠️ Warning

Whey supplements your meals, it does not replace them. If you have a milk protein or soy allergy, are pregnant or have kidney disease, ask your doctor before taking any. For the right dose, read how much whey protein per day.
