💡 The essentials
In Nice, the avenue Jean-Médecin is all you need: FitnessBoutique (rue Biscarra), FIT-U (passage Victor Hugo) and Decathlon City (no. 62) all sell whey protein, a few minutes’ walk from one another. A rare bonus: Decathlon City Jean-Médecin also opens on Sunday, from 11:00 to 19:00. To pay less per kilo, compare with our ranking of the whey proteins delivered to Nice.
Nice does not ask you to mount an expedition to an out-of-town retail park just to find a protein powder. Most of the specialist choice sits in the very centre, between Nice Étoile and the place Masséna, with a second FIT-U shop over by the Acropolis and two large Decathlon stores on the edge of town.
We have kept only the shops whose trading was confirmed in October 2026, with the address exactly as it appears on the retailer’s page or in the directory.
🗺️ Avenue Jean-Médecin: three whey protein shops on one street
| Shop | Address | Opening hours (checked in October 2026) | Strong point |
|---|---|---|---|
| FitnessBoutique Nice Étoile Biscarra | 10 rue Biscarra, 06000 Nice | Mon to Fri 10:00 to 12:30 and 14:00 to 19:00, Sat 10:00 to 19:00 | Nutrition tasting corner |
| FIT-U Nice Jean Médecin | 17 avenue Jean Médecin, passage Victor Hugo, 06000 Nice | Not published, call 09 81 96 97 88 | Wide range of sports brands |
| Decathlon City Nice Jean-Médecin | 62 avenue Jean Médecin, 06000 Nice | Mon to Sat 10:00 to 19:30, Sun 11:00 to 19:00 | Open on Sunday |
FitnessBoutique says it is 2 minutes from Nice Étoile and from the Jean Médecin stop on tram line L1, which makes it the easiest address to reach without a car. The shop makes a feature of its tasting area: this is the place to try a flavour before you commit to a 2 kg tub.
Over at FIT-U, the Nice-based retailer presents itself as a sports nutrition concept store and lists concentrates, isolates, native and hydrolysed whey proteins on its website, from brands such as Optimum Nutrition, Dymatize and Scitec Nutrition. Decathlon, for its part, puts its City store forward on its page devoted to protein in Nice.
🛒 Beyond the centre: Acropolis, TNL and Lingostière
- FIT-U Nice Acropolis, 26 avenue de la République, 06300 Nice (tel. 09 81 36 51 63): the chain’s second shop, on the eastern side of the centre.
- Decathlon Nice TNL, centre commercial TNL, 15 boulevard du Général Louis Delfino, 06000 Nice: open from 9:00 to 20:00 according to Decathlon.
- Decathlon Nice Lingostière, 592 boulevard du Mercantour, 06200 Nice: handy if you are coming in from the plaine du Var, also open from 9:00 to 20:00.
🔬 Our method
Every shop was checked in October 2026 on its official page (FitnessBoutique, Decathlon, FIT-U), then cross-referenced with its PagesJaunes listing. An address we cannot confirm is removed rather than left to chance. We did not go in person: the scores in the comparison reflect this public information, not a visit.
📅 Buying whey protein on a Sunday in Nice
This is the Nice speciality: Decathlon City Jean-Médecin is open on Sunday from 11:00 to 19:00, while FitnessBoutique Biscarra closes that day. So if your tub runs dry on a Sunday, that is the address to remember in the centre.
To avoid a wasted trip, order on decathlon.fr for in-store collection: click and collect is free and advertised from 1 hour when the product is in stock (otherwise from 48 hours). Note that Decathlon publishes reduced hours or a closure on certain public holidays, notably 25 December 2026 and 1 January 2027.
